SELFIES and the STAGES OF CHANGE

SELFIES and the STAGES OF CHANGE

I recently went to a conference in Buffalo hosted by IHNO (In His Name Outreach), and had the distinct pleasure of meeting Doctor DiClemente, one of the people behind the development of the Transtheoretical Model that describes the Stages of Change.

I was a little star-struck and had to ask for a selfie with the Doctor. He obliged. I fumbled with this new technologically advanced phone/camera combination and managed to look like an alien.

But that’s not the important part. The important part is to think about a change you are trying to make. What stage of change are you in? What do you have to do to get to that next stage?

We all progress through a series of small victories. Rome was not built in a day and healing is not a “one and done” phenomenon.

What’s YOUR next small, bite-sized, step towards wellness?
